Come and See the New Pride of Čachtice!

The Renaissance-era Draškovič Manor House in the village known for Countess Bathory turns into a new cultural and creative center after extensive renovations. On Monday April 22, 2024 you have a unique opportunity to explore the revitalized interiors and new exhibitions of the Trenčín Museum.

Before noon the Draškovič Manor will welcome distinguished guests and in the afternoon the gates will be open for general public. For curious visitors, a guided tour with commentary of the house interiors, accompanied by a special program, is prepared. During the tour, you will not learn not only about the new exhibitions of the Trenčín Museum but also about the entire restoration process of this national cultural monument. The accompanying program will feature a historical fashion show by the group Fringia. The guided tour for the public will take place on Monday, April 22, at 3:00 p.m. After this grand opening, the mansion will be closed again for a few days. From early May, it will be fully open to visitors during opening hours as one of the branches of the Trenčín Museum in Trenčín.

The revitalization of the Draškovič Manor House in Čachtice was made possible thanks to the project of the same name, supported by the EEA and Norway Grants, co-financed by the state budget of the Slovak Republic and the budget of the Trenčín Self-Governing Region. The project is implemented within the program Entrepreneurship in Culture, Cultural Heritage, and Cultural Cooperation.
