On August 9, 2024, the Dra\u0161kovi\u010d Manor House in \u010cachtice hosted the event \u201cPaint, Brush \u2013 Rejoice, Landlord!\u201d, designed for children from the summer camp of the Pie\u0161\u0165any Municipal Library.<\/p>

The young visitors were welcomed by museum educator and ethnologist Mgr. Filip Obert\u00e1\u0161, who guided them through the manor and introduced them to the early history of \u010cachtice, the ethnic (Roma) and confessional (Hab\u00e1n) groups in the village, the collection of paintings of the Ile\u0161h\u00e1zi family, and the story of Elizabeth B\u00e1thory and Palatine Juraj Thurzo.<\/p>

The event continued in the educational room, where children were invited to draw a nobleman\u2014either based on a model (historical medallions or paintings) or from their own imagination. The best drawings were awarded interesting prizes. Many children chose to draw Palatine Thurzo, whom they had never heard of before. Through Mgr. Filip Obert\u00e1\u0161, they learned many fascinating facts about him.<\/p>

The event was part of the project \u201cRevitalization of the Dra\u0161kovi\u010d Manor House in \u010cachtice\u201d, funded by the EEA and Norway Grants and co-financed by the State Budget of the Slovak Republic, the Tren\u010d\u00edn Self-Governing Region, and the Tren\u010d\u00edn Museum.<\/p> <\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
