The event began with a lecture by our ethnologist and museum educator, Mgr. Filip Obert\u00e1\u0161, on the ethnogenesis of the Roma people and the history of Roma in Slovakia. The wonderful Roma band Romano Jilo from Bansk\u00e1 Bystrica delighted the audience with their singing and dancing, and to conclude the event, the talented young student Deniska Baranovi\u010dov\u00e1 recited Roma poetry about tolerance and understanding.<\/p>
