During the reconstruction of one of the most important historical landmarks in \u010cachtice, archaeologists discovered shards of vases, jugs, and metal tools. The archaeological discovery will not limit the building in any way.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>

The discovered fragments prove that another building stood on the site of the Dra\u0161kovi\u010d manor house in the past. \"The fragments can be dated to the 13th and 15th centuries according to their patterning. Before the manor house, there could have been, for example, a lighthouse,\" archaeologist Juraj Malec confirmed. He also confirmed that the archaeological discovery will not limit the reconstruction of the manor, which is being carried out by the Tren\u010d\u00edn Self-Governing Region. The task is to completely improve this national cultural monument dating back to the 17th century.<\/p>

The project Revitalisation of the Dra\u0161kovi\u010d Manor in \u010cachtice was successful in the 1st call for project applications under the Cultural Entrepreneurship, Cultural Heritage, and Cultural Cooperation programme. It is co-financed by the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area 2014-2021, the state budget of the Slovak Republic and the budget of the Tren\u010d\u00edn Self-Governing Region.<\/p>
