Manor houses as museum seats
On 20 April 2023, the Zemplín Museum in Michalovce hosted an expert conference entitled Manor Houses as the Seats of Museums.
The aim of the conference was the presentation and promotion of noble settlements in Slovakia, their original noble owners and the museums that are currently housed in them. The Trenčín Museum in Trenčín was also represented at the conference with two expert presentations.
The first paper entitled Revitalization of the Draškovič Manor House in Čachtice and its future use was presented by historian Mgr. Martin Vincurský. The second paper entitled Ghillány House in Nové Mesto nad Váhom was presented by historian Mgr. Kristína Danková, PhD. The papers will be published in the second half of the year in the conference proceedings of the same name.
